Learning begins, way before words !
Babies experience this exciting, yet strange new world through their five senses, many of their foundational life skills are learned through their sensory experience of the world and all before words.
With 50+ years of experience in early years education, we have seen first hand how well and successful children socialise and succeed in nursery and primary school when the 0 - 3 years are filled with love, security and effective engagement and stimulation.
Sense of Wonder is a fun, exciting and stimulating weekly, themed activity program, that helps to nurture your baby's physical, cognitive, social, and emotional wellbeing.
Sensory play, baby signing, and baby massage all inspire your little one’s senses, to imagine, to understand, to communicate and to be happy and secure.
These skills and techniques once learned, build attachment that creates a healthy and loving, lifelong bond.

sensory Play
Fun and exciting and stimulating weekly themed activities promote your baby’s cognitive, social and emotional development.
A perfect opportunity for you to make friends, share stories, experiences and swap advice in a relaxing environment. So come along and discover the incredible advantages for you and your baby in that special Sense of Wonder baby time.

baby signing
We share and teach a new sign every session, this fun activity improves child parent communication and develops language and understanding as your child learns to associate words and actions with meaning and purpose.
baby massage
Our sessions provide time for a gentle baby massage, teaching techniques that relax your baby, and sooth them. A natural, loving, and very special bonding experience for you and baby to be focussed solely on each other.

our sensory learning
Your baby explores and makes sense of the world and everything in it through their senses. Discovering the skills of enquiry, understanding, relationships, movement and learning all Before words. This critical time in their development sets the foundational path for them. It is a time of a great Sense of Wonder to explore, enjoy and build a lifelong closeness with your child
Sight
We provide lots of visual activities involving light, movement and colour to help stimulate your little ones sense of sight and increase their awareness and familiarity of the world around them.
Sound
Your child will love interactive, singing, music, rhythm, rhyming, in our themed, play-based, sensory sessions.
Sound will make them curious, and develop their sense of rhythm, key to their language development and motor skills, and it's great fun.
Touch
Touch is the foundation for encouraging your baby explore their world.
We provide a short massage session to promote skin-to-skin contact, essential to emotional, physical and intellectual development. Creating a lifelong bond between you and your child.
Smell
Scents are introduced in our sessions, enhancing your baby's sensory development. Aromas that are familiar to your child help them form strong associations with place and people.
Your baby's nose may be little and cute, but it is great and forming their view of this new world.
Taste
Your babies taste buds develop in the womb and they are born with a sense of taste. At birth they can determine the difference between sweet and sour. As your little one grows their sense of taste changes.
Allergies prevent practical experience of taste but we will explain how you can explore taste at home. We look forward to hearing of your fun exploration of taste at home. Pics too !

Alison
Alison is a mum to 2 girls and has worked as an early learning practitioner for over eight years and is currently studying for a BA in Childhood Practice.
She is passionate about nurturing children’s creativity and curiosity and supporting them on their learning journey

Lizanne
Lizanne is a mum to 8 boys, and has been working with children in primary and early years education for over thirteen years and is passionate about nurturing young children, helping them explore, learn and develop through play.
Margaret
Margaret is a mum to 3 boys, and has over thirty years experience in child development.
Working in neurology, child psychiatry, Scottish Centre for Autism, primary schools and early years education helping children grow and learn.
